I first met Ian back in 2000 where I trained him to use a kart timing system at a small kart club in Essex. Since then he has proved to be a very competent timekeeper, he has an excellent knowledge for the rules, he always has a very professional attitude towards his duties and is always very calm even when things are not going just how he would like! I had no doubts when I wrote a letter of recommendation to the MSA supporting his application to become an official MSA kart timekeeper. In 2004 when I was asked to recomend someone to fly to Egypt as timekeeper for the Rotax World Finals he was the first person on my list. To this day Ian always provides feedback to Supersport Timing Systems from the various clubs which he works with, he often has new ideas of ways which our software can help to improve the role of both kart timekeepers and kart clubs.
